Joe Thomas

Made in a small workshop in Wiltshire

I’ve been making things for as long as I can remember. It all began on an ancient lathe at school and it’s never stopped.

I now find the time to make high-quality furniture, homeware and bespoke picture frames.

Often what I make is a by-product of the timber I come across; one piece might lend itself perfectly to a small side table, whereas the figure in another might be perfect for a serving board.

The timber I work either comes from local joiners, merchants who source it sustainably, or old sawmills, reclaimed and given a second life.

Woodwork isn’t my day job, it’s my passion, and every piece gets the time it needs.
